My Besties Christmas in July Card

For the July My Besties Aussie DT Challenge, I chose the Winter Wonderland Bestie Sherri Baldy Digi Stamps img41797 and My Besties Printable Paper Pack 6 x 6" - Pink Christmas Paper from the Kit Pack of 8 sheets Digital Download Printable for the front of the card.  Christmas in July is the theme - Pink for the exterior and Blue for the interior of the card.

The close-up views of the front of the card show the various embellishments used to highlight the theme - Christmas in July.  The Kaisercraft wooden snowflakes have been painted using Ken Oliver Crafts Liquid Metals and Viva Inka Gold Metallic Rub.   

On the right side, I used Heartfelt Creations - Sparkling Poinsettia's stamps and dies to create a multi-layered Christmas flower to compliment the Poinsettia in the Christmas hat.  A combination of Viva 3D stamp paint and Inka Gold were applied to Red Bazzill cardstock in textural layers to create the frosted appearance.  Various Tim Holtz Distress Inks in greens were applied using daubers to the leaves.

I used my new Prismacolor Premium Pencils to colour the Winter Wonderland Bestie digi.  Her adorable large blue eyes compliment her Winter Christmas hat and pants.  Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Glitter Gloss was applied to the furry sections of the coat, hat and Pom Pom, so it glimmers in the light.

I used one of the Sherri Baldy's Digital Download Printable papers - "Filled with Love" Paper Pack in Blue tones for the Interior of the card.

The stamped Christmas Sentiment featured on the interior page is one of my favourites from Stamp-It.  The colour scheme of this page coordinates with the front of the card's pinks and blues.

Male Nature Gardening Birthday Card

This large Male Birthday card with Nature/Gardening Theme was made for my Brother-in-law's recent Birthday.

I used embellishments from the Craft Emotions - Life & Garden Paperstack. The muted toned photographic motifs worked well with the background paper with a hessian and layered leaves theme.

Clear & Metallic Gold Leaves stickers were added to the front of the card to create a bit of contrast with the printed leaves.

The Exterior & Interior of the card also features Jute Ribbon.

The interior of the card continues the Nature colour scheme of greens and browns.
